Yes, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) can prescribe medication. Our Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN's)/PMHNP's specialize in mental health and psychiatric care, and they have prescriptive authority for psychiatric medications, including antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and other psychotropic drugs.
